Field Operations
The Field Operations Division, commanded by Major Jimmy Eldridge, is the most visible arm of the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office. The primary responsibilities of this division are to patrol the county, answer calls for service, and serve warrants. The county is divided into six districts that are distributed evenly between two divisions (East and West). This is done to enhance coverage and ensure efficient response times.
